CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Offers Job Placement, Training Services For Hillsborough Residents

TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County residents seeking employment or career advancement opportunities can now apply for assistance through CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas’ Adult & Dislocated Worker Program. This federally funded initiative, supported by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), provides a range of services to help individuals find meaningful work and enhance their skills.

The program is designed to assist both dislocated workers, who have lost their jobs due to layoffs, downsizing, or business closures, and adults seeking to advance their careers in today’s competitive job market. This includes those impacted by recent hurricanes.

“We are committed to equipping our job seekers with the resources and support they need to thrive in today’s job market,” said April Torregiante, Vice President of Program Services at CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas. “Whether you’re looking for a new career path or need additional training to advance in your field, our Adult & Dislocated Worker Program can help open the door to new opportunities.”

Services offered through the program include:

  • Tuition assistance: Financial support for eligible training programs.
  • Individualized career support: Guidance and counseling to help individuals identify career goals and develop a plan.
  • Job search assistance: Help with resume writing, interview skills, and job searching strategies.
  • On-the-Job training: Opportunities to gain work experience and learn new skills while employed.
  • Apprenticeships: Structured training programs that combine classroom instruction with on-the-job learning.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must reside in Hillsborough County and meet WIOA program requirements.
