Car Found In The River, 60-Feet From Shore, Bradenton

BRADENTON, Fla.- Early Tuesday, the City of Bradenton Fire Department was alerted of a vehicle in the Manatee River near 1400 Barcarrota Blvd.

Fire personnel and police arrived on the scene at 2:01 a.m. and located the vehicle approximately 60-feet from shore.

Fire officials searched the vehicle, and no occupants were found in that search.

An exhaustive search of the river basin and shore was then conducted, yet no persons were located. The scene was turned over to BPD and the Coast Guard just before 6:00 a.m.
