The Rainbow Bridge border crossing between the United States and Canada in Niagara Falls was the scene of an explosion on Wednesday.
Initial reports indicated a possible terror attack; however, New York Governor Kathy Hochul updated the public at a press briefing.
“There is no evidence, at this time, that this was a terrorist attack,” said New York Governor Hochul. “At this time, there is no known terrorist connection.”

US Customs and Border Patrol released a video of the melee and issued a statement saying, “CBP is working closely with FBI, federal, state & local partners in response to a vehicle explosion at Rainbow Bridge which remains closed. Out of abundance of caution, CBP temporarily suspended inbound/outbound traffic at 3 other Buffalo crossings that have since reopened.”
In the first video posted below, you can see the vehicle driving at a very high rate of speed and then going airborne. The second video captured the explosion on impact.
