American politics is full of irony.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, for example, purports to expose and condemn hate by fomenting hatred of those it doesn’t like.
Media Matters for America purports to report on the media, and does so with selectively edited clips and biased stories aimed at discrediting conservatives.
Left-wing black activists who claim “systemic racism” oppresses black Americans – people like Patrisse Cullors and Stacey Abrams – are now cutting seven-figure real estate deals.
Add Right Wing Watch to the list.
The website, which purposefully smears all conservatives as bigots, particularly devout Christians, while covering for the Antifa radicals, was dropped from YouTube recently for violations of the platform’s “community guidelines.”
“We know this is probably very upsetting news, but it’s our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all,” YouTube said in its announcement. “If we think a channel severely violates our policies, we take it down to protect other users on the platform.”
On Twitter, Right Wing Watch complained that YouTube banned its channel because of its content – which, ironically, was filled with videos that supposedly revealed the “bigoted” views of “right-wing activists.”
“Our efforts to expose the bigoted view and dangerous conspiracy theories spread by right-wing activists has now resulted in @YouTube banning our channel and removing thousands of our videos. We attempted to appeal this decision, and YouTube rejected it,” Right Wing Watch tweeted.
YouTube, in a response to the group, noted it “permanently removed” Right Wing Watch’s channel, which also prevented it from creating new content – which seemed fitting for the group that reveled in claiming credit for getting Alex Jones kicked off social media.
But all good things must end, and so it was with YouTube’s alleged “permanent” ban.
Breitbart News reported that Google, which owns YouTube, reversed its decision and reinstated the channel after “an immediate backlash from leftists on social media and pundits in the corporate media.”
