Facebook deleted the account of actor Kevin Sorbo, best known for his portrayal of Hercules early in his career but more recently a known quantity in Christian films.
According to several news sources, the social media company did not explain why it left Sorbo’s more than 500,000 followers in the dark. Facebook also did not respond to media inquiries about the move.
Sorbo has been a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump. He also has been a vocal critic of COVID-19 policies, especially mask mandates, and more recently blasted Disney for firing Gina Carano, star of “The Mandalorian.”
RT.com, reporting on Sorbo’s controversy, noted Facebook had “recently expanded its list of ‘false’ and ‘debunked’ claims about Covid-19 and vaccines that may provide grounds for being booted from the platform.”
