The incident unfolded around 11:45 p.m. on February 2nd, 2025, in the 1500 block of Gregg Place. The Riverside Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Unit, along with the Forensics Unit, Traffic Detectives, and the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office, launched a comprehensive investigation.

Investigators determined that the suspect, Isaac BlackhorseGarcia, had been in a sexual relationship with the victim’s teenage sister. When BlackhorseGarcia dropped the sister off at her home that night, family members confronted him, leading him to speed away in his vehicle, striking the victim.

BlackhorseGarcia was located and arrested in Moreno Valley. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of murder, hit-and-run resulting in death, and unlawful sex with a minor. He is being held without bail.
