President Joe Biden’s pugnacious and uber-energetic State of the Union performance on Thursday night could have been attributable to juicing, a California psychiatrist opined.
According to The Washington Times, Dr. Carole Lieberman, a forensic psychiatrist from Beverly Hills whose practice includes working with elderly dementia patients, suggested the 81-year-old president could have been on a stimulant to mask his normally slothful behavior.
Biden “often raced through his remarks with the speed of an auctioneer, loudly shouting his words despite having a microphone in front of him,” the Times reported on Friday. Lieberman noted that pace and volume of speech can indicate the use of Adderall or another type of amphetamine.

“If you look at how Joe Biden usually is — slow and stumbling — compared to how he was during the State of the Union — fiery and angry — these are signs that are typical for someone taking Adderall or any amphetamine,” she told the Times.
Adderall, she noted, is “given to focus someone’s attention so if you give it to someone who is not focused and give it to them ahead of a big event like the State of the Union, it will improve their focus. But it’s treating the symptoms rather than boosting the brain and it’s addictive so it’s dangerous.”
As for the angry tone and presentation of the speech, Lieberman observed, “The emotional volatility is a sign of dementia and was amped up because of the Adderall or amphetamine they gave him. He wasn’t just talking loudly. He was shouting in a room where everyone could hear him, and he had a microphone.”

The Times noted that Lieberman has not personally examined the president. That, however, never stopped brigades of liberals, including journalists and Democratic politicians, from “diagnosing” former President Donald Trump as mentally or physically ill.
Lieberman pointed out other things that were out of character for Biden’s typical behavior.
For instance, Biden usually clings to the podium while delivering his remarks. But during the SOTU, he often made gestures and was animated rapidly with his hands, she said.
Biden, at times, also slurred some of his words. While that’s come to be expected of him, in this case, said Lieberman, the speed of the slurring suggested he was “psychopharmacology helped.”
“It was a word salad on speed,” she commented.

She also pointed out that Biden’s cognitive decline was evident in two parts of the speech, which he flubbed badly.
In one case, he talked about prescription drug costs and challenged critics of his plan to rescue them to fly with him to foreign cities, including Moscow.
The other moment, of course, was when Biden referred to murdered Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, who was allegedly killed by an illegal immigrant, as Lincoln Riley.
