A California resident has struck it rich in Florida. Kazbek Kurbanov, 68, of West Hollywood, claimed a $1 million prize from the “$1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR” Scratch-Off game at the Florida Lottery’s Miami District Office.
Kurbanov opted for the one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket at a Winn-Dixie located at 1515 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Hallandale. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the lucky ticket.

The “$1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR” Scratch-Off game is a $50 ticket offering two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million. The game boasts over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s revenue, accounting for approximately 74% of ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
