A man accused of killing his girlfriend in California in 2021 was discovered working in a Missouri hospital nearly three years after her murder.
Tyler Graeber, 36, is suspected of murdering Stacey Edmond, a 32-year-old surgical technician in Alturas, California, in February of that year, according to authorities.
Following Edmond’s death, Graeber allegedly fled to Columbia, Missouri, where he had been employed at a hospital in a “non-patient facing laboratory role” since March, a University of Missouri Healthcare hospital spokesperson said.

He was booked into a Boone County, Missouri, jail on a fugitive charge as he awaits extradition to Modoc County, California, for his former girlfriend’s murder, said authorities.
In 2021, Edmond’s death was first ruled accidental blunt force trauma to the head, Modoc County Sheriff Tex Dowdy told the outlet.
Her case was reopened last year when a private investigator hired by the victim’s family discovered new evidence allegedly proving Graeber murdered her.
