Henry Obdulio Cordon, 39, of Antioch, California, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing a photo of himself sexually abusing a 3-year-old child.

Chief United States District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan also ordered Cordon to serve a life term of supervised release and register as a sex offender.

The investigation began in April 2019 when an internet service provider reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that child sexual abuse material had been detected in an email account traced to Contra Costa County, California.

Law enforcement obtained search warrants and linked the email account and associated phone number to Cordon. The account contained numerous images of child sexual abuse, including a photo of Cordon sexually abusing a young child. Metadata from the photo indicated it was taken in Florida in 2011.

Cordon was arrested at his California residence on May 16, 2019. He admitted to searching for and possessing child sexual abuse material and confessed to abusing the child in the photo, who he knew personally.

Cordon pleaded guilty to the charges on June 14, 2024, and has remained in custody since his arrest. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney D. Rodney Brown.
