HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – On Saturday, February 24, 2001, at 8:40 a.m., Buford Von Hamilton’s body was discovered in the yard behind his travel camper at 4917 Austin Street in Tampa.
Mr. Hamilton’s truck, a white 1/2 ton Chevrolet was located behind the Burger King Restaurant at Columbus Drive and 50th Street on Sunday, February 25, 2001.
Two unknown black males were seen exiting the victim’s truck. The driver was described as a black male in his 20’s, 5’8″ – 5’11”, approximately 160 pounds, short black dreadlocks that were shaved in the back, and wore an earring in his right ear.
The passenger was described only as a black male in his twenties.
