TAMPA, FL. – Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady is in his 22nd season and at 44 years old, he’s up for NFL MVP.
The Bucs are 6-2 and atop the NFC South so, you’d think he’s satisfied. Ah, no.
Brady is coming off a 4 TD performance in a loss to the Saints where he had 3 turnovers. In fact, Brady didn’t even give his mind a break from football after this past bye week.
“It’s football season and we’re football players,” said Brady. “You think about football most of the time. You don’t go on vacation.”
Brady leads the NFL with 25 touchdowns and the Bucs are passing for 327 yards per game. Brady has been doing it with a lot of different receivers this season since the Bucs have been hit with injuries.
Brady mentioned when he was in New England he was with some receivers for 10 years. Here in Tampa Bay it’s different. “We’ve been together a year and a half,” said Brady. “The meetings,walk-throughs, and practices are important.”
The Bucs go into Washington Sunday, rested as well as the Washington Football Team Sunday, both teams coming off a bye. But listening and watching Brady, he doesn’t seem to rest until the season is over.
