TAMPA, FL. – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicked off training camp Sunday morning at the AdventHealth Training Center.
TFP’s Rock Riley ran into Buccaneers COO Brian Ford and asked what the championship win meant to him.
“Gratitude and just humbled. Humbled,” said Tampa Bay Buccaneers COO Brian Ford. “Best fans in the NFL.”
“The support that we received through a pandemic, to win it at our own home at Raymond James Stadium, a trip to the White House, to meet the president, show off a Lombardi trophy, get a ring like that,” said Ford showing his championship ring.
The Buccaneers received their Super Bowl rings on Thursday, which feature 319 diamonds, and include 15-karats of white diamonds and 14-karats of yellow diamonds, reflect the Super Bowl’s 31-9 final score. The twist-off removable top is the first of any Super Bowl ring.
On the bottom of the removable top, laser-etched in gold, is the word “HISTORIC,” to commemorate the accomplishment.
On Friday, Bucs QB Tom Brady took to Twitter to show off his many championship rings.
“How it started vs How it’s going,” said Brady.
“The support and the direction, and the culture that the Glazer family, to be number one on and off the field, humbled, that’s the best word I can say, ” said Ford on Sunday.
