A male victim of the stabbing, who had fled to a neighbor’s house to call for help, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, identified as 42-year-old James Christopher Lindsey, had previously been in a relationship with Stevens. He allegedly broke into the home and attacked both victims before fleeing the scene.

Hours later, Lindsey was found dead after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
