Two brothers have been indicted on federal charges for allegedly staging a robbery at a credit union in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, where one of them worked as a teller.
29-year-old Jenel Flounoury and 33-year-old Justin Flounoury, both from Brockton, were indicted Friday on charges of conspiracy and larceny from a credit union. They were arrested in December 2024 following an investigation into the September 24th, 2024, robbery of the Energy Credit Union.

According to the indictment, Jenel Flounoury, an employee of the credit union, orchestrated the staged robbery with his brother. He allegedly arranged for a large cash deposit to be placed in a section of the vault that he could access.
During the “robbery,” Justin Flounoury allegedly entered the credit union and passed a note to his brother demanding money. Jenel Flounoury then bypassed his teller drawer, went directly to the vault, and loaded nearly $200,000 into a bag, which he handed to his brother.
A search warrant executed at the brothers’ residence the night of the robbery led to the recovery of over $160,000 in cash, including marked bills that had been in the credit union’s vault. Cell phone location data also placed Justin Flounoury near the credit union at the time of the robbery.
