Brooksville Woman Killed In Spring Hill Crash

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 69-year-old woman from Brooksville was tragically killed in a car crash in Spring Hill on Friday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Toyota Highlander around 3:41 pm and attempting to exit a parking lot on Commercial Way. She failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned left into the path of a Dodge Ram driven by a 16-year-old male from Spring Hill.

The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The teenage driver of the Dodge Ram sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved.
