Brooksville Woman Charged For Horrific Crimes Against Her 23-Month Old Child

A Brooksville woman is behind bars facing multiple felony charges related to the sexual abuse of her toddler.

On September 23, 2024, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) received a tip from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) originating in Hernando County.

The tip, from a popular social media platform, contained photos and videos depicting a female engaging in sexual acts with a toddler.

The investigation swiftly identified the suspect as Jenna Ann Hoffman, 21, residing on Snow Memorial Highway in Brooksville.

HCSO detectives responded to Hoffman’s residence, where a family member confirmed the child in the CSAM videos was Hoffman’s 23-month-old child.

Hoffman then admitted to detectives that she produced the videos and sent them to an unknown individual on social media who promised payment, which she never received. A search warrant executed at the residence yielded further evidence.

Hoffman was arrested and charged with:

  • Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, Victim Under 12 Years of Age
  • Promote Sexual Performance of a Child
  • Possession of Sexual Performance of a Child With Intent to Promote
  • Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device

She is currently being held at the Hernando County Detention Center without bond.

Swift Action Saves Child

Thanks to the initial tip and the quick response of law enforcement, the child victim was rescued, and the suspect was apprehended within five hours of the investigation’s start.
