Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake confirmed that a 17-year-old male student rode the bus to school this morning and later entered the school cafeteria, where he opened fire. The shooter fatally shot a 16-year-old Hispanic female student and grazed a 17-year-old male student, who has since been treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and released.
After the attack, the suspect turned the weapon on himself, resulting in his death before police arrived at the scene.
