HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Derinda Main, a 67-year-old resident of Brandon, has claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 CROSSWORD CASH Scratch-Off game, the Florida Lottery announced today.
Main opted for a one-time lump-sum payment of $652,665.60, collecting her winnings at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office.
Main purchased her lucky ticket at Discount Cigarette & Grocery, located at 1424 South Kingsway Road in Seffner. As a reward for selling the winning ticket, the retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission from the Florida Lottery.

The $5,000,000 CROSSWORD CASH Scratch-Off game, priced at $20 per ticket, offers players the chance to win up to $5 million instantly. The game features over $239.6 million in total cash prizes, including four top prizes of $5 million. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.90, making it one of the most enticing games in the Lottery’s portfolio.
