The Florida Lottery announced Monday that Hoang Nguyen, a 56-year-old resident of Brandon, has claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game.
Nguyen chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $640,000.00 at the Lottery’s Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Nguyen purchased his winning ticket from Saigon Market Place, located at 3842 W. Waters Avenue in Tampa. For selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket, the retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission.

The $50 Scratch-Off game, $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR, offers players the chance to win one of two top prizes of $1 million a year for life, alongside 234 individual $1 million prizes.
The game boasts over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1 in 4.50.

Scratch-off games continue to be a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s game portfolio, accounting for approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Since their inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded more than $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 millionaires, and generated over $19.80 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
