POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A bizarre incident unfolded early Sunday morning in Mulberry, Florida, when a 64-year-old man, Eugene Albert Hendry, attempted to force his way into a residence.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Hendry, clad only in boxer shorts, began knocking on the front door of the home around 2:40 AM. When the residents, a couple and a female friend, confronted him, Hendry persisted in his efforts to enter the house.

Despite repeated warnings, Hendry continued his aggressive behavior, even throwing an object through a window. The male residents, fearing for their safety, discharged their firearms in an attempt to deter Hendry, but he remained undeterred.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered resistance from Hendry, who physically struggled with them and attempted to disarm one of the officers. After a brief altercation, deputies were able to subdue and arrest Hendry.

Hendry now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges related to the incident. He was transported to the Polk County Jail to await further legal proceedings.
