A Bonita Springs man has been sentenced to two and a half years in federal prison for engaging in a prolonged campaign of threats and harassment against a former intimate partner and her sister.
Aaron Thomas Fister, 30, pleaded guilty on November 7, 2024, to charges of interstate transmission of threats and stalking. U.S. District Judge Thomas Barber handed down the 30-month sentence.
According to court documents, Fister’s harassment spanned several years and included hundreds of harassing phone calls, often made during the early morning hours. He also left numerous threatening voicemails, including threats to kill the victims and their family members.

Fister’s actions escalated beyond verbal harassment, with incidents of property damage, the use of a GPS tracking device to monitor one of the victims, and even an attempt to strike one of the victims with his car while she was pregnant. One victim was forced to flee the state to escape Fister’s relentless harassment.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Benjamin S. Winter.
