ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police are investigating a body discovered today in a retention pond near I-275 and Gandy Blvd.
The St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Dive Team assisted with the body’s recovery, according to St. Pete Police PIO Yolanda Fernandez.
“Investigators will rely on the Medical Examiner to determine the gender, race, and age of the victim,” said Fernandez.
