Bill O’Reilly Predicts Disney Will Be Forced To ‘Takeover’ ‘The View’

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly called out the decline of corporate media and outlets Thursday on a podcast, highlighting how a show like “The View” might have to be taken over by the network’s owner.

Over the years, a majority of the hosts of “The View” — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro — have continuously defended Democrats, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, during their campaigns.

On the “Keeping It Real Podcast with Jillian Michaels,” O’Reilly stated that corporate media and outlets like the Los Angeles Times, CNN and MSNBC are failing because of their focus on hate, claiming people are being “directed” to hate specific individuals and policies.

“Now, I think Fox, FNC, because I know everybody over there, has learned its lesson. A billion dollars might do that, but the others, I mean, they are peddling hate on MSNBC. I can’t figure it out because that’s Comcast. They’re killing their own brand. I know Lester Holt,” O’Reilly said. “He’s a solid guy. But he’s being tainted by Rachel Maddow.”

“I mean, and you can’t see that? Why are they permitting it? CNN went so far left, they’re trying to come back now. They even actually booked me for confronting the president. That shocked me and my people,” O’Reilly added. “But it’s easy to peddle hate. The haters get attention. They can get a small audience and they can make money. That’s why it’s happening.”

Michaels jumped in to state how “The View” is “nothing but propaganda and vitriol,” leading O’Reilly to state how the show has been detrimental to the network.

“That has hurt ABC News because ABC News controls The View. So I’ve been on The View 20 times, but that was when Barbara Walters was there. That hatred didn’t exist. You still had Behar and Whoopi. You had them, but they were kind of not censored, but there was a different feel to it,” O’Reilly said.

“Now it’s like, your head’s going to blow off. They only have two million people watching them. Why does ABC News want to ruin their brand by this? So Disney is going to have to take The View over. That’ll happen pretty soon,” O’Reilly added. “It’s all about emotion for the ladies. They live in a giant New York City emotion bubble. Living in a bubble is not good for anybody. So they hear every time, every place what they want to hear. They believe what they want to believe. It’s a comfort zone. It’s kind of like a little tranquilizer.”

Since President-elect Donald Trump won the election in November, “The View” has seen a rise in viewership, reaching an average of 3.078 million viewers during the week of Nov. 4, according to Variety. However, despite the increase, corporate media still struggles to match the attention garnered by independent shows like “The Joe Rogan Experience,” “The Megyn Kelly Show” and “The Tucker Carlson Show.”

Comcast announced in November that it plans to spin off MSNBC, CNBC, USA, E!, Oxygen, Syfy and other news and entertainment channels. The telecommunications company made the decision after it was revealed that MSNBC’s ratings fell by 53% following Trump’s victory.
