Biden’s Judicial Picks Prioritize Skin Color And Gender, The Speed Which They Are Confirmed Is Drawing Attention

Liberals may yet convince the right that “systemic racism” exists.

After all, they keep, practicing it.

The Free Press has recently noted how two separate federal courts have slapped down Biden administration policies as unlawfully discriminatory by prioritizing blacks and other minorities over whites in offering COVID-19 relief aid to restaurateurs and farmers, respectively.

Now, President Joe Biden has offered another wrinkle on this reverse discrimination.

As the Washington Free Beacon reported on Monday, “Over six months in office and four waves of judicial nominees, President Joe Biden has yet to name a white male to the federal courts.”

“Biden has named 24 nominees for the federal bench in the opening six months of his presidency, 19 of whom are minorities,” the report continued. “He has also vowed to name the first black woman to the Supreme Court, and may have the opportunity to do so this summer.”

That was a reference to Justice Stephen Breyer, who is being urged by progressive to retire with Biden in office so he can pick another liberal to replace him.

As the Free Beacon further noted, Biden’s “selections are a plain signal that the administration’s judicial selection is driven by racial preference.”

Such prioritization of minorities “is unprecedented since the administration of former president Jimmy Carter, who openly placed a premium on female and minority candidates,” the Free Beacon observed.

“Biden and his outside supporters frame the issue in terms of judicial legitimacy, arguing the courts will not command public confidence if they do not broadly reflect the country’s increasing diversity.”

So much for justice being blind.

Meanwhile, the Free Beacon added, Biden seeks to draw a contrast with former President Donald Trump, three-quarters of whose nominees were male and more than 80 percent were white.

Yet, according to the American Bar Association, 86 percent of America’s lawyers are white, and 63 percent of lawyers are men. Based on those numbers, Biden has preemptively excluded about 711,000 white men from consideration for federal judgeships.

The Free Beacon article also noted that America First Legal, a group started by former Trump aide Stephen Miller, is asking why the pace of Biden’s confirmed judges is outpacing that of other presidents in the Democrat-led Senate.

“The American people have a right to know if there have been any arrangements or agreements to expedite the confirmation process by doing things differently than what has occurred in the past,” AFL general counsel Gene Hamilton told the Free Beacon.

  1. Biden can’t name the first black woman to SCOTUS. Ruth Bader Ginsberg has that honor already. More evidence that he is either ignorant or senile.
