It seems Americans just aren’t interested in spending an hour watching an old man yell at them.
While the liberal media lauded President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech on Tuesday, apparently, few people even watched it.
Biden’s speech clocked in with the lowest audience ever recorded for an official SOTU speech.
In all, an estimated 27.3 million Americans watched Biden deliver his speech, which was largely a rant against Republicans and conservative causes.

That was according to the Nielsen media-ratings service, which has tracked the audience for the annual speech for 30 years.
The audience for Biden’s speech this week was down 28% from a year ago.
And with Tuesday’s viewership, the Democratic president now owns the two-smallest audiences for primetime remarks by any president.
The only time a TV audience was smaller for a major televised presidential speech was in April 2021, when Biden delivered an address to a joint session of Congress. Technically, that does not qualify as the SOTU.
On that occasion, just 26.9 million tuned in.

By comparison, according to CNSNews, 47.7 million watched former President Donald Trump’s first unofficial speech to Congress in 2017. That was followed a year later with an audience of 45.6 million for his first formal SOTU in 2018.
Biden garnered such a low audience despite the speech being broadcast on 16 different television networks.
Fox News noted that the overwhelming majority of people who watched the speech (73%) were 55 and older. Just 5% of the audience were people under 35.
