In an interview with MSNBC on Saturday, President Joe Biden expressed regret for calling an illegal immigrant, who is accused of brutally murdering Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, an “illegal.”

“During your response to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s heckling of you, you used the word ‘illegal’ when talking about the man who allegedly killed Laken Riley,” MSNBC News’ “That Saturday Show” Jonathan Capehart said.

“An undocumented person. And I shouldn’t have used ‘illegal.’ It’s ‘undocumented,’” Biden replied.

“So you regret using that word?” Capehart asked.

“Yes,” Biden replied.

During the State of the Union speech on Thursday, Biden started discussing the failed left-wing immigration reform bill that would allow up to 1.8 million illegals into the country before the border would be closed.

In defending that measure, Biden challenged Republicans for not supporting it and then ridiculously claimed that, if it passed, he would have new emergency powers to shut down the border — a border that would not be open now if he had not reversed all of former President Donald Trump’s policies.

Biden then added that Trump feared the bill would pass and hand the incumbent a “political win.”

At one point, though, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene heckled the 81-year-old by calling out the name of Laken Riley, the 22-year-old Georgia nursing student who was recently murdered at the University of Georgia.

Police arrested Jose Antonio Ibarra as the only suspect in her death. Ibarra is an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who entered the country in 2022 and was allowed to stay in America despite multiple encounters with law enforcement.

In response to Greene, Biden then held up one of the Laken Riley pins that Greene handed out before the speech.

Literally on the pin were the words “Say her name … Laken Riley.”

Biden forged ahead, saying instead, “Lincoln, Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right. But how many thousands of people are being killed by illegals?”

Biden then oddly looked upward toward the gallery and said, “To her parents, I say my heart goes out to you, having lost children myself. I understand.”

First, he screwed up her name and instead invoked the name of the head football coach at USC for the past two seasons and who spent the five seasons before that as head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners.

Biden’s gaffe was so bad that Lincoln Riley was one of the top trending topics on X Thursday night, clocking in with more than 39,000 posts at one point.

It was also unclear who Biden was looking at as he mangled Laken Riley’s name.

Riley’s parents had refused Georgia Republican Rep. Doug Collins’ invitation to attend the speech.

Then, he once again invoked his own children, who have passed away but were not murdered as Laken Riley was.

Biden’s young daughter was killed in a traffic accident shortly after he was first elected senator, and his eldest son died of natural causes in 2015.

Most Democrats in Washington, however, showed they have little regard for Laken’s death,

Earlier on Thursday, the House passed the Laken Riley Act, a bill that would expand the list of crimes for which outlaw illegals could be deported.

The measure, introduced by Collins, passed 251-170. All those opposed were Democrats.
