As more Republicans call on President Joe Biden to resign following his ordered withdrawal from Afghanistan, firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene continues to bang the drum for impeachment.
Speaking at an event in Iowa with Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz on Thursday night, Greene announced she would file new articles of impeachment against Biden. Greene said they would be filed on Friday.
“I believe in firing people when they’re corrupt and they do a bad job,” Greene said at the event. “Joe Biden is failing America and he needs to be impeached.”
Greene reiterated her point Thursday by retweeting a clip of Fox News host Tucker Carlson discussing a portion of Biden’s interview with ABC News earlier this week that was not aired, in which Biden seemed easily confused, to the point that he could not recall which military service his son, Beau, served in.
“Biden is a propped up puppet and they can’t hide it anymore. It’s embarrassing,” Greene tweeted. “Tomorrow I introduce Articles of Impeachment on the pathetic puppet.”
Greene had first filed impeachment proceedings back in March, arguing in her resolution that Biden had been “enabling bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanors by allowing his son Hunter Biden to influence the domestic policy of a foreign nation and accept benefits from foreign nationals in exchange for favors,” while also profiting personally from Hunter’s foreign business dealings.
