It may not have been a Christmas miracle, but it was a pretty good prank.
President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Friday participated in the White House’s annual “NORAD Tracks Santa” event.
NORAD, or the North American Aerospace Defense Command, has been keeping tabs on Santa’s progress on Christmas Eve since 1955, according to its website.
As part of the annual event, the president takes calls from military families. During NORAD Tracks Santa three years ago, former President Donald Trump infamously asked a 7-year-old, Collman Lloyd, if he still believed.
“Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?” Trump said, before getting an answer that led him to chuckle.
This year, the Bidens had a conversation with a father identified as Jared. On a video posted on Twitter, President Biden tells Jared, “I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.”
“Yeah, I hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas as well,” Jared replied.
“Merry Christmas, and let’s go Brandon,” he added.
To which President Biden answered: “Let’s go Brandon. I agree.”
Breitbart News reported on Friday that appeared to be the first time Biden has acknowledged the slogan, which conservatives has touted as a type of code for “F–k Joe Biden.”
The president followed up by asking where Jared’s home was, but no one responded.
“I think we lost him,” Biden said.
“It remains unclear whether the president knows what it means,” Breitbart added.
