President Joe Biden lost a presidential primary election on Super Tuesday, a defeat that even The Washington Post labeled “notable.”
Baltimore-based investor Jason Palmer beat Biden in the caucus in American Samoa, a small U.S. territory in the South Pacific.
Palmer captured 51 votes to Biden’s 40.

Doing so, he claimed six convention delegates. The nominee must win almost 2,000 delegates.
While American Samoa may not shape the ultimate outcome, the Post observed, “It’s still a notable setback for an incumbent president.”
Palmer, who will be on the ballot in 16 states, did not take American Samoa for granted.
He posted on X that “Washington D.C. is long overdue for a president who will advocate for American Samoa.”
“The Meet & Greet in Malaeimi was a perfect way to learn more about what locals need the most. As a Democratic Candidate on the ballot, I’m here for the fight #AmericanSamoa #JasonPalmer.”

Post Millennial noted, “Palmer has pitched himself as a moderate and younger Democratic alternative to Biden in the primary.”
The Daily Mail, which reported that Biden “LOSES” the primary in all caps, noted that Palmer claims he is the first presidential candidate to release a talking, AI-powered version of himself.
Many, however, may say that of Biden.
