Bicyclist Struck And Killed Overnight In Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Pinellas Park Police Department is investigating a vehicle vs bicyclist crash resulting in a fatality.

According to investigators, around 12:19 a.m. Sunday, the Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the 6500 block of 66th St N for reports of a vehicle versus bicyclist crash.

It was determined through investigative means that the bicyclist was crossing 66th St N, midblock, from the east side to the west side.

Police say a Kia Forte was traveling northbound on 66th St N in the center lane. The front of the car struck the bicyclist. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

The vehicle’s driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. At this time, no criminal charges are stemming from the incident.
