BARTOW, Fla. – The Bartow Police Department will be conducting Critical Incident Response Training on December 29th and 30th, 2022, at Bartow High School.
This realistic scenario-based training is designed to equip officers on how to respond directly to a threat when there is a critical incident with an active shooter.
The Bartow Fire Department will also participate in the training.

Residents in the area may hear loud noises and emergency vehicles in the area between 11:30 am and 5:30 pm regarding this training.
This is a training exercise only. No live firing will be utilized.
“In order to ensure community safety, members of the Bartow Police Department consistently train for the worse. I pray these types of incidents never occur here in Bartow, but we will be prepared to respond if necessary”, said Police Chief Bryan Dorman.
