HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Recent water quality tests at Bahia and Simmons Park Beaches in Hillsborough County, Florida, show levels of Enterococcus bacteria exceeding safe limits for swimming.

The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) has issued a water quality advisory for these beaches.

To avoid potential illness, DOH-Hillsborough advises against swimming, wading, or any other water-related activities at Bahia and Simmons Park Beaches until further notice.

Test results are being monitored, and the advisory will be lifted once bacteria levels return to safe levels. You can find updates on test results at Florida Department of Health Healthy Beaches website.
