POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A baby girl couldn’t wait to make her grand entrance into the world and chose the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Southwest District Office as her birthplace!

On Saturday, September 14th, Micah and Diam were on their way to the hospital when baby decided it was time.

Sgt. Lynch noticed their vehicle parked outside and was surprised to see Diam holding their newborn daughter. He quickly called for Polk County Fire Rescue while K9 Deputy Wade offered assistance to the new mother. Sgt. Lynch also brought out handmade quilts for both mom and baby.

Fire Rescue transported the mother and child to the hospital, where they were later visited by deputies from the Southwest District bearing gifts – newborn essentials, a $100 gift card, and even a talking Sheriff Grady Judd doll.

While the deputies playfully suggested naming the baby “Southwest,” the proud parents already had a name picked out. Congratulations to the new family!
