ATV Crash Claims Life Of Belleview Woman, Critically Injures Man In Citrus County

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A New Year’s Day ATV accident in Belleview has left one woman dead and a man critically injured.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:17 PM on North Pine Drive near East Kathy Road. A 35-year-old man was driving an ATV southbound with a 38-year-old female passenger when they encountered a northbound motorbike driven by a 16-year-old boy.

In an attempt to avoid a collision with the motorbike, the ATV driver veered off the roadway, ejecting both himself and his passenger. Tragically, both were then struck by the motorbike.

The female passenger sustained fatal injuries, while the ATV driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The motorbike driver was unharmed.
