At Press Conference, Florida Gov. DeSantis Gets Crowd Chanting “Let’s Go Brandon”

At a press conference on Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis got the crowd cheering, “Let’s Go Brandon,” after calling the Biden administration the “Brandon Administration.

“Although they weren’t very happy with Virginia last night, if you were watching some of that, that was some major coping going on… if you look at that, if you look at what’s going on with some of the big corporations with their woke agenda, when you look at the Biden, the Brandon administration,” Desantis said.

The crowd jumped in with chants of “Let’s Go Brandon”.

“I don’t even know, do you know how that started?” Gov. DeSantis asked. “You have the media, they’re hand-wringing over this. It was at a NASCAR race, and they’re doing an interview with the driver, I guess his name was Brandon, and the crowd starts chanting very colorful language about Joe Biden.”

For those of you that don’t know, in Talladega, Alabama, NASCAR driver Brandon Brown captured his first win on the Xfinity Series circuit after 114 outings.

After the race, NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast interviewed the jubilant Brown. As he shared his excitement, the nearby crowd shared something else.

“Oh my God, this is a dream come true! Wow, Talladega! Oh my God, Dad, we did it. Let’s go!” an exuberant Brown exclaimed.

“This is just everything we have hoped and dreamed for. This is everything I’ve ever wanted to do was take the trophy home to Mom and Dad,” he added.

Yet in the background, as Brown talked, chants of “F–k Joe Biden” could be heard by anyone watching – that is, anyone but Stavast.

In the middle of the interview, Stavast told Brown, “As you can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go Brandon.’”

Fox News reported that NASCAR had posted the interview on its social media, but then yanked the clip because of the chants.

“This chant has taken on a life of its own,” DeSantis added, “because it exposes the dishonesty of these corporate reporters.”
