As the increasingly woke U.S. Army is trying to woo back soldiers who got the boot for resisting the COVID-19 vaccine, other troops from all the branches of service are suing the Biden administration for lost wages and benefits because they were kicked out for refusing the vax.
The military website Task & Purpose reported recently that the Army issued letters to roughly 1,900 former soldiers that gave them two options.
The first, given that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin rescinded the vax requirement earlier this year after Republicans pushed it through a defense spending bill, was that former soldiers could “request a correction of their military records” to change the reason for their discharge.

The second option was that these former soldiers could contact a local recruiter about returning to the Army.
Task & Purpose noted that the letters were sent as the Army faces a recruiting “crisis.” The Army was almost 15,000 new recruits short of its goal for the last fiscal year.
Task & Purpose attributed this to Gen Zers not wanting to join the military, identifying “factors as broad as the economy and job market to factors as specific as the service’s struggles with sexual assault and suicide in the ranks.”
The website did not mention another reason: That under President Joe Biden, the Defense Department has gone increasingly woke, using gay and trans troops in recruiting ads, while announcing that the ranks of the services are filled with white supremacists, yet not offering the evidence to prove that.
Meanwhile, as the Army was trying to make amends with the soldiers it unceremoniously tossed out, Breitbart News reported on Monday that a team of lawyers, including one who was a former Marine, seek class-action status for a lawsuit against the Biden administration for the vaccine mandate.

Dale Saran, a retired Marine and the lawyer leading the effort, told Breitbart that the payoff could be in the “billions.”
“It’s worth billions. That’s just flat-out. That’s what it is in backpay. It’s billions of dollars,” he said.
The tally of troops formally kicked out for vaccine refusal ran to about 8,400.
But Saran told Breitbart the lawsuit he’s bringing could include between 80,000 to 100,000 troops who were affected by Biden’s jab mandate.
His total includes reservists who were told they could not drill anymore or were moved to inactive status because they refused the vaccines.
Saran said the crux of his case is that Austin issued the vax mandate for troops to take a “licensed” vaccine, but at the time, the COVID jab was still “experimental.”
“They were basically [without] the benefit of any due process. No boards were held. They didn’t hold any administrative separation boards; they didn’t hold any hearings. They didn’t do any federal recognition boards; none of the administrative or judicial procedures were used. They just flat-out did it. And then…they got the Coast Guard to follow along, and they got a bunch of Coasties too,” Saran told Breitbart.
Saran argued that it’s not just salaries and benefits lost because those troops had time left on their contracts with the military. The Pentagon also took back enlistment or re-enlistment bonuses, perhaps as much as $50,000, because troops dismissed for vax-refusal did not fulfill their sides of the bargain.

“So not only did they throw them out — unceremoniously [and] wrongfully — now they’re…without a job instantly, no separation pay, none of that. And instead, they’re standing out in the cold, and worse yet, here comes the government…here comes the debt collectors. Now you owe us money,” Saran continued.
“That’s money we’re saying was illegally kept. That’s money that’s fundamentally — as far as I can tell — has been stolen by the DOD [Department of Defense].”
