TAMPA, Fla. – In the early morning of December 26, Tampa Police responded to a shooting in the area of E. 7th Ave near N. 20th St. Four subjects had been shot; two died as a result of their injuries. Detectives immediately began working to develop leads in the case.
During the investigation, they were able to identify 22-year-old Livonte Howard as a suspect. Detectives then began working to locate and apprehend Howard.
Following investigative leads, detectives determined Howard was at 10319 Hunters Haven Blvd in Riverview. On the afternoon of January 4, Tampa Police Detectives witnessed Howard exit and re-enter the residence.
Officers surrounded the house and gave several loud verbal commands for Howard to come out with his hands up.
Howard eventually exited the house and was immediately taken into custody without incident. He was transported to Hillsborough County Jail charged with First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder, and Aggravated Battery.
