TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in December 2024.
22-year-old Xavier Alamo was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder in the death of an adult Hispanic male in his mid-30s.

On Sunday, December 22nd, 2024, around 7:30 AM, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 9400 block of North Brooks Street. Upon arrival, they found the victim deceased on the front porch of a residence with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
The investigation revealed that Alamo and the victim had been involved in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting. The details of the altercation and the motive behind the shooting are still under investigation.

Alamo was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder. He is currently in custody at the Hillsborough County Jail.
