TAMPA, FL. – A suspect is in custody after a dispute with roommates turned into an armed barricaded situation on Friday.
Just after 10:30 a.m., officers responded to the 8200 block of N 11th St. regarding a dispute between roommates.
According to the roommates, the subject pointed a firearm at the two and threatened them. They both fled the residence and contacted the police.
Upon arrival, officers ordered the subject, later identified as Jeffrey Tyson, 18, to exit his residence multiple times which he failed to do so.
After several hours on the scene, the incident was resolved peacefully and Tyson was taken into custody. Tyson was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault With A Firearm.
The case remains under investigation.
