Armed Florida Kidnapping Suspect Apprehended After I-95 Pursuit

Deputies in Florida successfully apprehended an armed kidnapping suspect following a pursuit on Interstate 95 on Saturday. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Brandon Desforges, was believed to be traveling from Broward County with the victim still held in his vehicle.

Martin County Deputies located Desforges’ vehicle on I-95 and utilized a vehicle intervention technique to safely disable it and bring it to a stop. Desforges was taken into custody without further incident.

A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded Glock 30S handgun and a loaded AK-47 rifle with an obliterated serial number. Disturbingly, Desforges was already out on bond for similar charges in Broward County.

Thankfully, the victim was safely recovered and unharmed.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office commended the deputies involved in the successful operation.

Desforges is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number. He is currently being held in the Martin County Jail.
