An Arkansas couple, Shalene Ehlers and Darien Urban, were arrested last week after they allegedly tried to sell their 2-month-old baby at a campground.
A campground manager alerted authorities after learning the couple attempted to trade their child for beer and later demanded $1,000. The infant, who reportedly needed medical attention, was taken to the hospital.

The couple allegedly provided a written agreement stating their intention to give up their child in exchange for money.
A man named Ricky Crawford claimed to have taken the baby overnight after providing the couple with beer. Crawford later expressed concerns about the child’s well-being, noting a severe diaper rash.
The couple initially claimed the baby was “undergoing an adoption,” but later admitted they offered to surrender the baby for $1,000.
