According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, John Riley was initially trespassed from the establishment at the request of management around 8:40 PM. However, he made the ill-advised decision to return about an hour later.

The manager, determined to keep Riley out, kicked him out again and locked the doors. Deputies were called back to the scene to deal with the persistent trespasser.

During his arrest, Riley reportedly became belligerent, demanding his handcuffs be removed and taunting deputies with the phrase “catch me on the other side.” This led to an additional charge of threatening a public official.

Riley was transported to the Polk County Jail, affectionately known as “Grady Judd’s Bed & Breakfast” by Sheriff Grady Judd.
