suspect sought by police

Apollo Beach Publix Robbed, Police Seeking Suspect VIDEO

APOLLO BEACH, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the assistance of the public to locate a man who robbed a Publix grocery store over the weekend.

At 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, an unknown adult male entered the Publix located at 6434 N U.S. Highway 41 in Apollo Beach and approached a store clerk demanding money. The suspect threatened to shoot the employee if he did not comply. A weapon was not displayed during the robbery.

The suspect fled the store with an unknown amount of cash from the cash register. He took off in an older model grey sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry. The vehicle had heavy damage to the rear bumper.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’00” and 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, tan baseball hat, blue jeans, and a blue face covering.

“The boldness of this suspect is alarming, and we want to find him immediately,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Anyone who would rob a busy grocery store in broad daylight, putting an employee in fear for his life, does not need to be walking our streets freely.

We’re asking anyone who recognizes this suspect to help us arrest him by calling the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
