HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – James Muckenthaler, 42, of Apollo Beach, is celebrating a $2 million win on a Florida Lottery Scratch-Off ticket. Muckenthaler claimed his prize from the “100X THE CASH” game at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office, opting for a one-time lump-sum payment of $1,280,000.00.
The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 13220 US Highway 301 South in Riverview. The retailer will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The “100X THE CASH” game offers over $243.4 million in cash prizes, with more than 700,000 prizes still available. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.49.
Scratch-off games are a significant contributor to the Florida Lottery, making up approximately 74% of ticket sales. Since their inception, these games have awarded over $63.1 billion in prizes, created 2,175 millionaires, and generated more than $19.24 billion for Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
