Another familiar and proud American company is facing criticism for its embrace of woke with drag queens and left-wing LGBTQ activists.

Following the recent likes of Hershey, Budweiser, and country music, Jack Daniels is under fire for teaming up with three drag queens from the cable TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” according to a Newsweek report on Thursday.

But critics have revived it to note that the popular distiller had “gone woke,” and are now calling for a boycott.

The complaints about Jack Daniels’ campaign come just days after a transgender man slaughtered six people, including three children, during a mass shooting at a Christian school in Nashville.

Newsweek reported that Jack Daniels said in June 2021 that it had partnered with a trio of drag queens from RuPaul’s show to produce a series of videos called “Drag Queen Summer Glamp,” which was released during Pride month that year.

The videos featured the performers completing challenges around the company’s Lynchburg, Tennessee, distillery.

The company said at the time that the partnership was “a bold new experience — for both the queens and their hosts,” Newsweek noted, while Lauren Richmond, then the brand manager for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire whiskey, said the push “reaffirms our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.”

“Jack Daniel’s gets drag culture — which is all about celebrating individuality and inviting others to accept you as you are,” Trinity the Tuck, a drag queen involved in the campaign, said in a statement.

“This is how Pride should be celebrated: with friends — new and old — in a place you would never expect,” Manila Luzon, another participant, said.

Newsweek noted that conservatives, such as political columnist Benny Johnson and country music legend Travis Tritt, were denouncing the campaign.

Johnson, for example, asserted on Wednesday that that Jack Daniels had “gone full woke,” adding: “This is a *good* business move since Jack Daniels is only ordered by the mentally ill already.”

Newsweek cited other unnamed critics, including one who said, “Time to leave their products on the store shelves,” while another added, “Jack Daniels you just lost a loyal drinker, never again.”
