Another loudly squawking liberal wheel is getting the grease.
Newsmax reported on Monday that American Airlines is investigating a pilot after a passenger complained that he had a “Let’s go Brandon” sticker on his luggage.
The passenger, Dana Finley Morrison, announced on Twitter that she was “disgusted” by the pilot’s display at the airport in St. Lucia, and tweeted at American to let her thoughts be known.
“Hey @AmericanAir – y’all cool with your pilots displaying this kind of cowardly rhetoric on their crew luggage when they’re in uniform, about to fly a plane?” she fired off to the airlines.
“We are not the only passengers who noticed.”
It’s hard to understand how the LGB sticker could be “cowardly” when the pilot had it in the open for passers-by to see.
Nonetheless, Morrison let it be known that she was going to bully American Airlines on this, and as Newsmax noted, she reportedly sent American’s corporate leaders screenshots of the pilot’s luggage that she claimed “displayed political propaganda supporting insurrection against the U.S. government.”
As conservatives know, that could be anything that even minimally criticizes Biden, Democrats, or their policies. American then demonstrated that it could be sufficiently cowed.
The company tweeted back an apology to Morrison and said it was initiating an “internal review” of the pilot. “We take this very seriously and have sent this over to crew leadership,” American told Morrison. “They will handle this internally after review. We assure you appropriate internal review will occur.”
“We hold out team members to the highest standards and expectations,” the company added.
Commenting on the exchange on Twitter, a conservative columnist asked a question that is relevant, but so quaint in the current political climate: “Why are you responding to this bully? Stand with your employee, not internet trolls like Dana.”
Of course, as Newsmax noted, American Airlines has no problem caving to bullies.
In September 2020, American allowed its workers, including those aboard flights, to wear Black Lives Matter paraphernalia. “The carrier even hired a social justice group to design a racial awareness pin for crew members to wear,” Newsmax reported.
Yet, as Fox News pointed out, “Some [American Airlines] employees were reportedly frustrated because the company had not carved out a similar option for those who wanted to express their support for law enforcement.”
