A Florida woman is facing multiple charges after a routine traffic stop revealed the woman was ‘shooting up’ a whole bunch.
On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, just after 9:30 pm, sheriff deputies in Calhoun County, Florida, were conducting a routine patrol in the Mossy Pond Community.
A patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving with its hazard lights on.
Once the deputy made contact with the driver, Ashley Nichole Klaiss, it was determined that Klaiss’ driver’s license was currently revoked.
Deputies say this was when probable cause was established to search the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located twenty-eight used syringes, one “loaded” syringe that contained liquid methamphetamine, a plastic container with methamphetamine inside, a metal spoon containing methamphetamine residue, and approximately one gram of marijuana.
Klaiss was taken into custody and charged with violating the following:
- Florida State Statutes: F.S.S. §893.13(6)(a)
- Possession of MethamphetamineF.S.S. §893.147(1)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia F.S.S. §322.34(2) – DWLSR with Knowledge
