A 41-year-old Alabama woman, Joselina Lopez, is accused of fatally shooting her partner, Benito Morales Guzman, and dismembering his body with a chainsaw. Their 4-year-old child was allegedly present in the home during the gruesome act.
Authorities discovered Guzman’s remains in a car on the couple’s property after he was reported missing. The vehicle reportedly contained a chainsaw and Guzman’s dismembered body, which had been placed in trash bags.

Investigators found a gun, hatchet, knives, and multiple chainsaws inside the home, along with receipts for the tools. It is believed that Guzman was shot multiple times before being dismembered.
Lopez claims she acted in self-defense, but prosecutors argue she has no evidence to support this. She currently faces charges of intentional murder and is being held without bond.
