Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville issued a stark warning to his fellow Republicans on Wednesday, making it clear that opposition to Trump’s nominees and legislative agenda will not be tolerated.

Tuberville stated that those who vote against Trump’s picks could face consequences, including efforts to remove them from the Senate.

“Republicans: If you’re not on the team, get out of the way,” Tuberville declared. “President Trump and JD Vance are going to be running the Senate,” he added.

Tuberville warned that GOP senators who resist Trump’s agenda or oppose his Cabinet picks could face political repercussions and suggested that senators should defer to Trump’s preferences.

“He deserves a team around him that he wants. It’s not for us to determine that. We’ve got 53, votes in the Senate, we can confirm with 51. I’ve already seen where a couple of them say, ‘I’m not voting for him.’ Wait a minute. You are not the United States or America, you have one vote, U.S Senate,” said Tuberville.

Tuberville concluded his remarks with a pointed message to his colleagues, “You did not get an elected president. Vote with President Trump, this is the last chance we’re going to have to save this country, and if you want to get in the way, fine, but we’re going to try to get you out of the Senate, too, if you do that.”
